Editor's Note:

As a result of discussions last season, we are trying this year, a new format of responsibilities instead of the traditional officers. During the year we are going to define the many responsibilities, and then offer acceptance of duties to members who would like to share in the running of the Chapter. Thank you to those of you who are continuing to do the necessary preparations for a successful Chapter.

Workshop

Last season the Chapter hosted a Spring Workshop which was quite successful. As a result, another workshop will be considered this year. If you would like to help in the organizing or just have some ideas to consider please contact Ole Christensen.

Scholarship

We again remind you of the availability of scholarship money provided by the Adirondack Baroque Consort Scholarship Fund. Active members of the Chapter are encouraged to apply. Week long, weekend, or one-day workshops of early music or recorder playing are eligible. For scholarship information, contact Jutta Von Schwerin or Sue Wright.

Dues

Please fill out the form and mail with your dues to Emmy Grubb. Her address is on the form. You may bring the slip with your dues to the first meeting. Local dues remain $15, plus $40 for National ARS membership if you want to be a national member. Also, we welcome additional contributions to help cover local expenses. One membership covers all members of the family. Benefits of national membership include: Notices of workshops, occasional free music and a magazine (5 issues) containing music reviews, historical articles and columns on instruction, performance and technique.

Music Library

Our extensive music library is fully functional and available for your perusal. The current rules of library use are as follows:
1. Only members of the Chapter may check out music and other materials.
2. Music must be signed out on the sign-out form.
3. Duration of loan is 2-3 months.
4. Music should be returned to Lee Danielson at any meeting.
The library will be available on the first meeting of the month at 7:15 P.M. All questions should be directed to Lee Danielson.

Consorts and Concerts

Corelli Clash has continued to play background music at the Jewish Community Center dinners, and presently is preparing for programs to be played in the Worcester, MA area. Corelli Clash is also happy to note that they will be heard on the PBS radio stations in Dayton, OH.

Chapter Recital Nov. 16th

We will host our annual Fall Recital at the Pruyn House during the time of our regular meeting. Both solo numbers and group performances are welcome.
