President's Message

Happy Spring!!! Don’t forget. April showers bring May flowers. And April snow is a poor man’s fertilizer. No matter what the weather, we are ready for some spring-like music.
Have a great spring!!!
- Darleen Koreman

Spring Meetings

On April 18th we will have a “Bring your own Music” session. In May, we have Ann Githler for the first meeting May 3rd followed by Ole Christensen doing more double & triple choir music at the 2nd meeting May 16th. The Spring Recital will be in the Schoolhouse on June 7th. We will end the year with the Picnic on Wed. June 20th, at 6:30 pm.

Spring Recital

The Spring Recital will be held in the Schoolhouse which is behind the main Pruyn House. Take the drive to the left. It will be on Wednesday June 7, 2007 at 7:30 P.M. Both solo and group performances are encouraged. This year the manager is John Wilson. Please give your information including titles & composers directly to him, or call or email. Please use plain text if sending an e-mail. Deadline for entries will be June 5th.

Picnic

Our picnic is the last meeting of the year in June. We are going to go back to barbequing hamburgers and hot dogs. We’ll need only side dishes, large enough to feed 8 to 10 people and, of course, desserts. Please let me know ahead of time what you are bringing so we can avoid duplicates. If any non-chefs out there would prefer not to cook they are welcome to bring other items. We will need some paper products, drinks, and condiments. Again, just let me know so we don’t end up with doubles.

Library

Lee Danielson, our librarian, has made some change in the rules to allow members more time to take advantage of the collection. I believe members will be allowed to take home a large amount of music to peruse. Please check with him about the changes.

Spring Workshop

We had a lovely time at the spring workshop. As usual, Tricia was delightful. We covered more of the double choir antiphonal music we had started in our regular meetings. They were challenging but fun. Marjorie Loux was there from The Recorder Shop with quite a spread of items including both instruments and music. Many people took advantage to shop.
