A note from the Editor's desk
[The text version of this newsletter includes the annual posting of chapter members for 2008-09. People who have signed up for the Yahoo! group can always find the current memberhip list here.] Pleased to note that both new members are coming onboard and many of our current subscribers are continuing their membership. Thanks to all for your interest in supporting the chapter. Also, many thanks to this year’s conductors for your willingness to share of your time and talent.
November Recital
This year’s recital took bit of a different twist. It combined an informal recital with a ”bring your own music” event featuring an interesting array of musical styles. Thanks to both the group and individual performers for being a part of the evening’s activities. A good suggestion and a fun time – one that we may hope to repeat. .

President's Corner
As you all know Paul Newman passed away last September leaving a great legacy. In this area he made the Double H “Hole in the Wall” Camp for seriously ill children. Henry Purcell’s Hornpipe, Hole in the Wall is a favorite of many recorder players and so I thought it would be nice to play it at the end of each meeting this year in Paul Newman’s memory. His generosity was certainly well known in Up-State New York. The 4 part arr. by Eric Haas will be available at every meeting.
- Ole Christensen, President
